The Relationship Between Special Education Placement and Academic Outcomes

This presentation will focus on two recent research studies conducted by Sandi Cole and her colleagues at Indiana University. The first study focused on placement and academic outcomes for students with disabilities grades 3-8. The second and most recent study focused on the placement of students with disabilities and academic outcomes, including graduation for students in high school. The research will be presented with opportunities for discussion and reflection on the inclusion of students with disabilities.
