IASP Strategic Plan 2021 - 2024

IASP leaders, committee members, and school psychologists from across the state recently engaged in a strategic planning process. This work will focuses the goals and activities of IASP over the coming months and years. The following key initiatives were identified:

Increase member capacity to communicate the continuum and value of school psychological services for schools, students, and families.

    • Indiana school psychologists will recognize the value of membership and engage in IASP.
    • Indiana will have an increased number of qualified school psychologists working to support students.
    • Indiana school psychologists will be equipped to meet the academic, behavioral, social/emotional, and mental health needs of students (i.e., NASP Practice Model).

Improve IASP’s influence in legislative and educational policy decision making at the state and local level.

    • Indiana school psychologists will work collaboratively with external stakeholders to be a voice in influencing change at the local, state, and national level.

Expand and deepen relationships with external stakeholders as a vehicle for improving the influence of IASP and school psychologists.

    • Indiana school psychologists will work professionally and collaboratively with others in the school system to clarify and expand the role of school psychologists in order to protect the rights and opportunities of all students.
